On Friday, Dec. 1st, enjoy this pre-curser to the Saturday Lighted Boat Parade. Waterfront restaurants are sponsoring several lighted boats to cruise up and down the waterfront for your viewing pleasure. Book your dinner reservation NOW to have a front-row seat at the lighted boat cruise.

Lighted Boat Parade!

40+ decorated boats will compete and parade in the bay. $1,000 worth of cash and prizes will be awarded to winners*. The tall ship, Lady Washington, will be participating in the parade as well. For more information, visit the official event website

Other Activities: Santa’s in his House, Hot Cocoa, White Cap Band to take place during parade.

*Cash prizes are for motorized boats only.  Non-motorized boats will be judged on Sunday in the Paddle Parade.  $20 to register,  and all get a participant plaque and goodie bag with over $50 of swag.

Citywide Crab Pot Trees & Holiday Tree Lightings

A simultaneous lighting of the MANY Holiday Trees around the City of Morro Bay. The citywide celebration begins at 5:00pm, with all locations being lit at 6:oopm.

Sunday, Dec. 3rd

Paddle Parade!

 Join the fun as our paddle-powered vessels get a chance to parade. Bring your own paddleboard, kayak or non-motorized vessel, or rent one from local shops to participate. $1,000 worth of cash prizes will be awarded to the best décor and costumes*.

On land, we will have paper boat building, along with other family-friendly activities.

 The tall ship, Hawaiian Chieftain (pictured here), will join the Lady Washington in Morro Bay for FREE tours, and weekend adventure sails. To board these magnificant ships view their daily schedule HERE. To schedule your Adventure Sail visit them online HERE.

Santa Crawl!!!

Don’t miss out on our first annual holiday wine/pub crawl.

An adult scavenger hunt! One winery tasting station will be placed at each participating establishment. Get your passport stamped from each destination for a chance to win grand prizes. Staging areas are at Stax, downtown & Santa’s house. Shuttle runs in between. Participants required to dress as a Santa or an Elf.

Tall Ships Battle Sail

 A re-enactment pirate-like battle sail between Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington (tickets are $42-$79)

Gingerbread House Competition

Family and Professionals will display their gingerbread houses hoping to win Judges and people choice awards. There will also be a caroling concert and goodies.

Come out to enjoy REAL SNOW on the bay! We will have 2 snow play areas, one on a slope for the older children and a small flat one for under 4.

We will also hold an Elf On The Shelf creativity contest (for ideas, CLICK HERE). You do not have to use your own Elf, we will have some there for you to use in your display.  We will provide a “pretend elf” and you bring the other props to recreate a scene from one of the elf’s mischief. It is like a diorama. You do not have to use your on Elf, we will have some there for you. Prizes include a family pass to SLO Childrens Museum, Passes to Rockin’ Jump Trampoline park, and other fabulous prizes..

Monday, Dec. 11th

Caroling with Cops

 Join our brave police force in singing and fun as they ride through town on the Morro Bay Trolley spreading holiday cheer. Keep an eye out for Mr. & Mrs. Claus as their special guests!

Day 12

Tuesday, Dec. 12th

Say Goodbye to Santa

Say Goodbye to Santa as he boards his special North Pole express boat.

He has a lot of work to do after visiting Morro Bay, and is heading home to make sure his list of names is checked twice! Watch as he sails away, and shoots off into the sky back to his home at the North Pole.
